Hyatt Place San Antonio-North/Stone Oak

Great, clean, efficient hotel. Wanted to write a review solely to compliment the front desk lady. Unfortunately we forgot her name! She’s an African American lady whose name starts with a C. Fully apologize bc I can’t remember your name but you are so helpful, kind, friendly. You are running that hotel and deserve a promotion! Happy new year!

Nice clean property with reasonably priced rooms. The indoor pool was well kept and they have a pretty decent gym that I did not get to use. On the weekend we visited the place was busy and only one elevator worked. Having been placed on the 6th floor my workout was walking 6 flights of steps a few times each day. Wasn’t a bother for me. It is a pet friendly place so that worked out for us as well. I would recommend this place anytime.

Let's start with positives. Great location, 5 star night shift auditor, easy parking, nice indoor pool and good breakfast. Problems: Check in experience was not the best, though it didn't take long but when I asked help desk to extend my stay one more day she told me that I can do it myself online, I realized that I can't edit but I can only book new day and then I have to check again with front desk to assure that I don't need to change room the day after. AC works only if the outside temperature is below 90. No cold air between 3-9 pm. Only one elevator works and it needs attention, stopping at floors is scary and it's unbelievably slow. We spent two nights there and there was no room cleaning service in between. The shower gel container is empty and only 1 small hand wash soap bar was available. The next day we ordered extra towels but we didn't get any till we checked out. We tried the pool and there were not enough towels. The center piece rug is sticky. Flooring in the common area is uncleaned. Finally, the sofa bed was the worst among any we have tried before. Usually my kids fight on who sleeps in the sofabed, this time nobody wants it.

Good location, great hotel personnel and clean public areas and room. Comfortable bed, sitting area and the extra black out shades that are at Hyatt's are appreciated. The front desk people were helpful for local restaurant recommendations, and check in and out. A full breakfast. Just about anything you want to eat for breakfast, is there. Clean public areas and my room too. Good value for the price. Plenty of parking as well.
